I seem to remember a David Lynch series just after he died, Shimi. Either that, or there was just a flurry of Lynch films in the theaters. @Thar is one of our David Lynch devotees; I'll bet he remembers.
I don't recall any recent PT Anderson series, but I wouldn't mind seeing one. Magnolia is among my all-time faves.
